Everything (almost) you need to know about the MITL website, but were afraid to ask...

There are a whole lot of great tools that help captains manage their teams, getting necessary information and save time too! After all, you want to be on the tennis court, not doing spreadsheets & sending more emails that you really need to! On the MITL website, did you know that you can:

1. ADD A PLAYER to the roster who is ON the list of available players?
• Log on to the website,
• Click on ADMIN,
• Click on Teams along far left side of the screen,
• Move a player over to your roster using the left arrow for a regular player or, for someone subbing up use the left SUB UP arrow.

* To REMOVE A PLAYER from your roster, follow the above steps and using the right arrow, move them back to the list of available club members.

* If you need to DELETE A PLAYER from your roster: Click on Player/Member on the ADMIN page. Enter that player's name. Highlight the player & check the delete box at the bottom of the page.


2. ADD A NEW PLAYER to the roster or EDIT A CURRENT MEMBER?
• Log on to the website,
• Click on ADMIN,
• Click on Players / Members,
• To edit a player, highlight that player and click on edit at the bottom of the list of players,
• To add a player, scroll down to the "add a player" form.

2a. If you need to DESIGNATE A SUB, follow the Edit a Player instructions above, and when in the Edit Player screen, just put an S in "Player Position", and it will appear as {S} next to the player's name. If you need to designate someone as SUBBING UP, move them from the left box to the right box using the SUB UP arrow.

2b. If you need to REMOVE SUB DESIGNATION, follow the Edit a Player instructions above. When in the Edit Player screen, put a 0 (zero) in the "Player Position" box.

*** NOTE: You will only be able to edit your roster for the first two weeks of the season. After that the rosters will be locked & you will need to contact your flight chairperson to make any edits. ***


3. PRINT SCORE SHEETS with players names on them?
• Log on to the website on to your Admin page,
• Click on Teams / Schedules on the gray menu bar across the top of page,
• Click on your flight,
• Click on your team,
• On the Schedule Box, Click on date (above the match, in green colored type),
• From the pull down menu, enter your lineup and print!

4. SEND AN EMAIL TO YOUR TEAM from the MITL website, if you’ve entered your teammates’ email addresses?
• Log on to website, click ADMIN,
• On the left side of screen click on BROADCAST EMAIL option,
• Highlight your team, click “Continue” and voila!

5. Keep track of WHO'S AVAILABLE TO PLAY matches?
• Log on to website, click ADMIN,
• On the left side of screen click on TEAM MANAGEMENT,
• You can request that your teammates indicate their availability, by sending them all an email by clicking on “Request Availability from ALL players”,
• Once you have everyone’s availability you can then click on “Line up” under each date, which will take you to the lineup form... cool huh!

6. Print out, or view, copies of Blank Score Sheets, Barbara Williams Cup information & entry form, General Information for Captains, Rules to Play By, The Code, Coman Tiebreaker instructions, and Website Info for Captains?
• On the gray menu bar, click on Forms, then click on Downloadable forms.

7. Find out when the rain dates are, when & where the Barbara Williams Cup will be held, when the closing luncheon is, and when is the deadline for requesting new teams?
• Log on to the website,
• Click on Calendar on the gray menu bar across the top of the page.

8. Download your MATCH SCHEDULE to your iPhone, Android device, iCal, Outlook & Google Calendar. Go to Teams/Schedule tab. Select your division & team. Once on your team schedule page, click on iCal to download schedule.

9. ALWAYS ASK YOUR FLIGHT CHAIR for help on any website functions!
